Ongkharak Demonstration School
Educational Research Development and Demonstration Institute and Ongkharak Demonstration School , Srinakharinwirot University , formally established in 2008. The policy was initiated by Dr. Wiroon Tangcharoen, former President of Srinakharinwirot University, to expand educational opportunity to local community. Assistant Professor MD. Chalermchai Bunyaliphan, former Vice President for Planning and Development, was appointed as the President of the committee for establishing Ongkharak Demonstration School, an organization under management of Educational Research Development and Demonstration Institute. The project was greatly supported by local community in which 7 families donated 206 Rai of land. During the establishment, the committee developed the curriculum based on academic research and basic educational management know-how. The “Innovative Education” of Ongkharak Demonstration School was researched and formulated as an “education prototype”. In 2012, the Council of Srinakarinwirot University, approved the establishment of Educational Research Development and Demonstration Institute and Ongkharak Demonstration School and Assistant Professor Kittikoon Rungruang was appointed as the School Director.
Ongkharak Demonstration School is reaching the 3rd year after the inauguration. In 2014, there are 554 students, from kindergarten to Prathom Suksa 6 (Grade 6), 43 teachers and 8 academic departments to provide integrated learning method. The school’s identity “Attaining scientific knowledge, outstanding technological know-how, excellent language skills and moral ethics while having good relationship with local community” reflects the heart of our educational management. Wisdom is integrated with sciences to assimilate learning into life.
In 2015, Ongkharak Demonstration School will provide bilingual education program (Satit Ongkharak Bilingual Education Program = SOBEP) aiming to develop student’s academic capabilities and skills with the curriculum of international standard and quality.
